Cissus powder is made from the rhizome of Cissus quadrangularis, which is brown in color and has health benefits.
Cissus quadrangularis has a plant height of 6-7 meters, and the stem is fleshy and flat, with joints, generally four-sided and columnar. Leaves palmately trilobed. It blooms in summer, and the flowers are green. Vine-like succulents. It needs full sun during the growing season, but does well in diffused light. The fleshy stems are oddly shaped, jointed, and four-sided, resembling a cactus. It is a succulent of the genus Alpinia vine in the family Vitiaceae.
